Got married a week out of high school to the prettiest girl at Hardaway. Served in the Air Force in Thailand. Went to Columbus College for a couple of years but didn't graduate. The "student" thing doesn't work out too well for me. Bought and sold several motels. Got rich, got poor, got rich again, got poor again, decided rich is better and should have stopped there. Ended up owning the Fuddruckers restaurant in Columbus, now I'm back to the poor phase. Not making much money with it but its fun.
Aren't you hungry? I could use the business right now. Shut the damn computer off and go eat a burger! If you see a crotchety old fat man with a Fuddruckers shirt on, thats me. Let me know you are one of us and I will give you a free cookie. Freshly baked chocolate chip. Yummy.
But one day thirty years ago, we decided to go scuba diving. Boy has that been an adventure! We have been with schooling hammerheads after a 30 hour boat ride to the largest uninhabited island in the world, Cocos Island off Costa Rica. We have ridden five knot currents in Tahiti, taken pictures of some of the prettiest reefs in the world in Fiji, found cannons and piles of lead shot from a 17th century Dutch warship on the Chinchorro Bank in Mexico (brought some lead shot back but don't tell anyone), dove the Blue Hole in Belize several times, collected buttplates from Enfield rifles from a Civil War era wreck off of Myrtle Beach, dived on German submarines off North Carolina... I've been Sky Diving I've Been Smoky Mountain Climbing, I've Been 2.7 Seconds on a Bull Named Fu Manchu...no, wait. That was another guy. Sorry, got carried away. |

Other than remembering that I learned to just back into the deans office every time I got caught smoking in the mens room to save time on getting licks, high school is kind of a blur for me. |
